Qascom is looking for an R&D Navigation Engineer within the Aerospace & Defence domain, based in our office in Bassano del Grappa (VI).
As part of the R&D team, the resource will be involved in the engineering activities supporting major national and international R&D projects in the Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) sector, with focus on Satellite Navigation Systems. This includes the possibility to work with international teams and space agencies, such as ASI, ESA, and NASA. The tasks range from scientific state of art reviews up to the design, implementation, and performance evaluation of innovative PNT concepts.


Requirements:
 
  • Master’s degree in telecommunications engineering
  • PhD in scientific topics is considered a plus
  • Preferably 2 years working in the space sector
  • Knowledge of Signal Processing
  • Experience in Matlab or Python programming is desirable
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Upper Intermediate level of written and spoken English

Responsibilities:
 
  • State of art reviews of PNT technologies, techniques, and future trends
  • Design of innovative PNT concepts, both at system level and at user level
  • Design and development of simulators to test innovative PNT concepts
  • Evaluation and critical assessment of the developed PNT concepts
  • Design and assessment of future satellite communication systems
