Qascom is looking for a Product Quality Assurance Engineer within the Aerospace & Defence domain, based in our office in Bassano del Grappa (VI).
As part of the Engineering Division, this role entails involvement in the engineering and PA/QA activities supporting major national and international projects in the space sector, with focus on Product Assurance, Quality Assurance and relevant disciplines (e.g. processes, cleanliness, quality). This includes the possibility to work with international teams and Space Agencies, such as ASI, ESA, and NASA. The tasks range from PA/QA requirement definition and verification to the support to manufacturing and testing activities, organizing inspections and audits to the suppliers/subcontractors, defining Company standards.


Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Aerospace/Materials/Electronics Engineering
  • Knowledge of the Product Assurance process
  • Familiarity with ECSS
  • 2 years’ experience in the aerospace and defense sector is desirable
  • Specific knowledge or experience in one of the following areas is considered a plus: Materials and Processes / Cleanliness and Contamination / Radiation Hardening
  • Upper Intermediate level of written and spoken English

Responsibilities:
  • Defining and implementing product safety and warranty plans
  • Managing vendors for PA issues
  • Providing PA requirements to Requirement Specification Documents
  • Providing Product Assurance requirements for Off-The-Shelf procurement specifications
  • Checking and approving project documentation
  • Preparing PA reports and DMLs, DMPLs, and DPLs
  • Attending informal customer reviews (related to design and testing)
  • Performing or coordinating internal audits (product and process) and managing any corrective actions
  • Representing the interface with customers and partners for PA/QA issues
  • Performing configuration and document management activities
  • Collaborating with the Sales team, with regard to PA/QA aspects, in the preparation of tenders
  • Collaborating with the Quality team to manage the Quality Management System
  • Performing RAMS analysis and deriving Availability, Reliability and Maintainability requirements for system elements
